This is what your AGA Starts life as - the odd 'Roll's' engine and RSJ. |
Then it's all melted down ready to be.. |
...poured
into the mould. |
The
Casts are made of fine sand which is reused. |
As
the molten iron is poured into the cast the heat is intense. |
The
casts are "rumbled" off and the top plate comes out.. |
Once
rumbled the parts are shot blasted to clean residue sand off. |
Then
sent off to the dressing shop to... |
...be
machined to smooth the surface. |
A
simmering plate is machined to size. |
Ovens
are assembled while... |
...the
parts to be Enamelled are base coated to stop oxidisation. |
The
colour is then applied... |
...and
placed in the gas ovens which fuses the enamel on. |
The
parts are then colour coded to match. |
Final
assembly of the aga onto the Pallets. |
A
fork lift truck picks out your AGA... |
...and arrives with us in the Yorkshire Dales |
