Making the Mould

The Six-Four Series, and every AGA that came before is made in the Coalbrookdale Foundry in Shropshire. The same foundry where, in 1709, large scale iron production was first pioneered. We even use the same process: pouring molten iron into moulds. every casting is then hand-dressed, heat-treated to 850C and shot blasted clean. All before undergoing a three day, three coat enamelling process with AGA's special vitreous enamels. Over the years, it's the craftsmanship at every stage that has earned us the reputation for quality, longevity and durability. It's this that makes the Six-Four Series such a unique and desirable range cooker.
