AGA Three Oven in Black

The hi-tech AGA!

The Total Control AGA, part of the 'Control Series' line-up (formerly known as 'New Generation' - more economic and controllable than the Classic 'Traditional' AGAs) have been superseded by the AGA 7 Series eR7 cookers.

The AGA Total Control goes a level beyond the Dual Control model by having separate controls for each oven (as well as individual hotplates).

In addtion, you can programme the ovens to be on (up to full heat) ready for when you need them (on a '7-day' basis, much like you'd set up your central heating).

The low-energy AGA

The AGA Total Control is also the one that has an ultra-low heat-output 'Slumber' setting making it ideal for new-builds and well insulated properties, or just smaller rooms where less heat is needed.

The clever controls work in conjunction with elements embedded in to the roof and floor of the ovens (and the hotplates) to enable much quicker heat-up times than a traditional AGA (about 1-2 hours for the ovens, 8-12 minutes for the hotplates). This also helps reduce heat-output by not heating the room over a longer warm-up time.

Three Oven

Two hot-plates: on the left a fast boiling plate and on the right a simmering plate.

Three ovens: at the top right, a roasting oven and below that a simmering oven. The third baking / slow roasting oven is at the bottom left and the fourth door at the top left is for access to the controls.

Five Oven

Two hot-plates: on the left a fast boiling plate and on the right a simmering plate.

There's also a warming plate over the left hand 'hotcupboard' section of the cooker.

Five ovens: at the top right, a roasting oven, below that is the simmering oven. Top left is a slow cooking oven and bottom left is the plate-warming oven. The baking / slow roasting oven is in the middle at the bottom and above it is a sixth door for access to the controls.

AGA Installation FAQs

Further Notes

The Total Control AGA doesn't need a plinth - it is 910mm high (to the hot-plate), which is just right for a standard kitchen worktop height of 900-910mm.
It's vital that the cooker's plinth is not tiled in - there's a pull-out access to some components within its base. This means that the AGA must be installed after the floor finish is laid. (The floor needs to be flat and level, and to extend all the way under where the AGA will be.)

Some clearances are required for installation - please contact us for more information

Warranty: 1 year labour and 5 year parts.

Maintenance: A safety check is recommended every 30 months (2.5 years)

Options

- Three oven or Five oven

- Colours
- Induction Hob

There's an option to have a single-zone induction hob instead of the hotcupboard's warming plate.

- Integrated Module
- Hot Water Boiler

The Total Control AGA is not available with an internal hot water boiler.

Oven Venting

The AGA Total Control Cooker can be ordered with externally vented or room vented cast iron ovens.
The external vent model has a 28mm copper pipe that runs from the back of the cooker to a small stainless steel fan box mounted on the wall outside. It's vital that a suitable route (following the manufacturer's recommendations for length, number of bends and routing) is determined when we come to do the home survey.
The room vented model doesn't have the pipe to outside and needs an extractor fan (ideally externally vented) installing above the AGA.

Two Options:

Externally Vented Ovens

With a 28mm copper pipe running to the externally mounted fan box.

Room Vented Ovens
