The AGA 7 Series eR7 Cooker

Available in: Electric only, three oven or five oven.

AGA Three Oven in Salcombe Blue

The AGA 7 Series eR7 takes the AGA Total Control and evolves with even more control and flexibilty.

Individual controls for each of the three cast-iron ovens and now a choice of temperature settings for the Roasting and Baking ovens (or now that the temperatures aren't fixed should we say primary and secondary ovens?)

Just like its predecessor, you can programme the ovens to be on (up to full heat) ready for when you need them (on a '7-day' basis, much like you'd set up your central heating) and you have individual control for the hotplates too. (The hotplates are manually controlled and can't be timed.)

Low-energy, Low Running Cost

The AGA eR7 also has an ultra-low heat-output 'Slumber' setting making it ideal for new-builds and well insulated properties, or just smaller rooms where less heat is needed.

The clever controls work in conjunction with elements embedded in to the roof and floor of the ovens (and the hotplates) to enable much quicker heat-up times than a traditional AGA (about 1-2 hours for the ovens, 8-12 minutes for the hotplates). This also helps reduce heat-output by not heating the room over a longer warm-up time.

An AGA First - selectable oven temperatures

The AGA 7 Series eR7 introduces a choice of four temperature settings for the cast-iron roasting (primary) and baking (secondary) ovens.

In addition to the energy-saving 'Slumber' setting (about 115 degrees C) the ovens can be set to suit whatever recipe you're using.

The baking oven has B1, B2, B3 and B4, and the roasting oven R6, R7, R8 and R9 (the numbers equate to the 'gas-mark' scale for comparison), see below for the temperature in degrees celsius.

Three Oven

Two hot-plates: on the left a fast boiling plate and on the right a simmering plate.

Three ovens: top right, the primary 'roasting oven' and below that a simmering oven. The secondary 'baking' oven is bottom-left and the fourth door at the top left is for access to the controls.

Five Oven

Two hot-plates: on the left a fast boiling plate and on the right a simmering plate.

There's also a warming plate over the left hand 'hotcupboard' section of the cooker.

Five ovens: at the top right, a roasting / primary oven, below that is the simmering oven. Top left is a slow cooking oven and bottom left is the plate-warming oven. The secondary / baking oven is in the middle at the bottom and above it is a sixth door for access to the controls.

AGA Installation FAQs

Further Notes

The AGA 7 Series doesn't need a plinth - it is 913mm high (to the hot-plate), which is just right for a standard kitchen worktop height of 900-910mm.
It's vital that the cooker is fitted on top of any floor tiles or finish - there's a pull-out access to some components within its base and if you tile afterwards this would stop the pull-out from being accessed. (The floor needs to be flat and level, and to extend all the way under where the AGA will be.)

Some clearances are required for installation - please contact us for more information

Warranty: 1 year labour and 5 year parts.

Maintenance: the manufacturers say regular maintenance is not required.

- Induction Hob

There's an option to have a single-zone induction hob instead of the hotcupboard's warming plate.

- Integrated Module
- Hot Water Boiler

AGA 7 Series Cookers are not available with an internal hot water boiler.

Electrical Requirements

AGA 7 Series 100
(Three oven)

A 32amp cooker circuit

Note: External Oven Vent Kit

If you specify the external oven vent kit for either model [100 or 150] this is fed from within the AGA at extra-low voltage [24V].

AGA 7 Series 150 / 150i
(Five Oven)

A 32amp cooker circuit.

An additional 13amp socket for the hotcupboard to plug in to. **Socket MUST be to the left side**

Ideal Solution: Install a 45 or 50 amp cooker control with integral socket outlet - the 'main' cooker can use the cooker supply and hotcupboard can plug in to the socket. This MUST be to the left side of the hotcupboard.

Oven Venting

The 7 Series AGAs are all-electric and don't have a flue or chimney.

As standard they all have 'Room Vented' ovens.

If it's practical to do so you can specify the external oven vent kit (at extra cost).

This consists of a 28mm diameter copper pipe that runs horizontally from the back of the cooker to a small stainless steel fan box (switched from inside the AGA's control door) that mounts on the wall outside.

Electric AGA External Oven Vent Fan

There are limits and restrictions to the route of the pipe - generally a maximum of 4-6m depending on the number of bends and the pipe can't go up at all, it needs to gently fall to outside but not go so low that it falls below the base of the cooker.

Note Only the cast-iron ovens that are vented to outside and it's not a high powered system - if you open the oven door during cooking the steam will still come in to the room, and, if you're cooking something with a very high moisture content, or is very 'fatty' and spits a lot you might still get some cooking smells or steam in to the room even with the fan on.

The external vent does not extract from the top of the AGA nor from the hotcupboard's two ovens.

All AGA 7 Series cookers are recommended to have an extractor above the cooker.
